Parag Khanna, a senior research fellow at the New America Foundation, will discuss his book, "The Second World: Empires and Influence in the New Global Order," during an Oct. 10 lecture at the Clinton School of Public Service.
Khanna's book explores the future of geopolitics in the 21st Century with the rise of China and the European Union to challenge America on the global stage. Named one of Esquire’s 75 Most Influential People of the 21st Century, Khanna was a senior geopolitical advisor to United States Special Operations Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2007. He is director of the Global Governance Initiative.
