Clinton Presidency Surrounded by Scandals
How will William Jefferson Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, be remembered?
Dr. Art English, professor of political science at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock says, “I think he'll be viewed as a good president. And not as a great one because I think the scandals did hurt." The scandals started even before Clinton was elected president. During the 1992 campaign, Gennifer Flowers said she'd had a 12-year affair with then Gov. Bill Clinton, leading to the Clintons' famous appearance on "60 Minutes" when Bill Clinton said, “I have acknowledged wrongdoing. I have acknowledged causing pain in my marriage."
